Curators Anna Frants and Elena Gubanova titled the eleventh “Cyberfest” as “Weather Forecast: Digital Cloudiness,” inviting participants to perceive changes in digital technologies as akin to changes in the weather. At the opening at the A. L. Stieglitz Academy, attendees included BigDataSolutions president Leonid Frants, artist Alexander Shishkin-Hokusai, curator Olesya Turkina, and many others. Guests were inspired by the combination of architectural historicism and media art, even finding allusions to Andrei Tarkovsky’s films in the desperately swinging monkey from the work “To Think the Unthinkable” by Italian artist Donato Piccolo.
