“Love is a many splendored things…”, “love, oh love I’ll be a fool for you…” — and many more words could be cited about love. Moreover, according to Google, there are more quotes about love than on any other topic. In her installation “Vagaries of Affections,” Anna Frants reflects on this and shows that this feeling can be expressed not only in words but also in many other sounds generated in various combinations. Some people say that attachment is just a chemical reaction, while others believe we understand we are in love when songs about love finally make sense. This artist’s work demonstrates that, regardless of what “physicists and lyricists” may claim, love is always unpredictable.
